  • Plasmolysed: A plant cell that has lost water by osmosis, causing the cell membrane to pull away from the cell wall.
  • Surface Area to Volume Ratio: Smaller organisms have a larger SA:V ratio, making diffusion more efficient. Larger organisms need transport systems.
